Hello Riverside South Families!

We hope this message finds you well.  We have been busy setting dates and organizing meets at the school.  Please note the following important dates:

School Council first meet (Intermediate and Secondary)

Tuesday, September 16 @ 5:30pm in the library.

The following meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.

Meet the Teacher (Intermediate and Secondary)

Thursday, September 25 - 4:30pm - 6:00pm

•  Please  note that Meet the Teacher is different from Parent/Teacher interviews - teachers will be giving a brief overview of the class they are teaching your student.
• We will have a brief welcome in the library before you begin your evening.

For Intermediate students planning on trying out for any teams:

To tryout and/or participate in school sports and many other activities, parents and students must complete the "Concussion Code of Conduct" form. By completing this form, Parents and Students acknowledge that they have read the board protocol on concussions, fair play, and sportsmanship. Both forms MUST be completed to participate.

*This form is required to try out for teams or participate in any Inter-School sports as well as intramurals*

*These forms will cover the student for the entire year and only need to be filled out once*

There will also be permission forms that need to be completed for each sport or activity. These will be sent by coaches at the time of the activity.

School Council Meetings

Meet the Teacher Night

Meet the Teacher Night is on Thursday, September 25, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We'll start with a brief welcome in the library before you head out to meet with your student's teachers. Please note this is different from Parent-Teacher interviews—teachers will be giving a brief overview of their classes.

Extracurriculars and Sports

A new calendar for extracurricular activities is now available on our website. You can find it on  Extra Curriculars .

If your Intermediate student plans to try out for a school team or participate in any sports, they must complete the Concussion Code of Conduct forms.
